Elementary Spanish Program via Distance Learning
by Natalie Brauer
Elementary Spanish Program began in September 2004, with seven school districts participating. By this year (2009-2010) it has expanded to include 17 elementary school districts in eastern Nebraska; this involves 150 classrooms and about 2500 students.
Weekly 20-25 minute interactive Spanish sessions are delivered by distance learning to the individual classrooms and taught by teachers from Spain.
