New Foundations Technology Coaches

In October of 2009 ESU 5 was the recipient of an ARRA Title IID grant. This grant is to be utilized for technology advancement for districts. Part of the funding was used to provide two staff members (New Foundation Coach) from each district the opportunity to receive specialized training for technology tools (such as clickers and mobis) and the service unit’s new Learning Management System – MOODLE. Each coach then has the obligation to use their specialized training back in their own districts to train the other staff members there. Throughout the 2009-2010 school year training of the coaches has occurred – the most recent one on June 2nd. Coaches are learning a great deal from trainers and each other – improving their skills all of the time. Preparations for implementing training back in districts have already begun!
