Cheri Koenig has been a member of the ESU staff since 1996 (the second time). Cheri was the early childhood special educator (preschool teacher) until 2018. In the fall of 2018, she moved to the position of early intervention service coordinator who works with children birth to 3 years of age and their families. Cheri provides support to families and their children who have delays in their development. Cheri is particularly interested in the area of autism spectrum disorder and is known for teaching preschoolers for 21 years.
When not working, Cheri enjoys playing with her granddaughters, reading, gardening and sewing.
