Kristen Banahan has been a member of the ESU staff since August 2014. Kristen is a speech-language pathologist who works with students ages birth-21. She provides services in the areas of speech production, language, cognition, feeding and swallowing, fluency (stuttering), voice, resonance, and auditory habilitation/rehabilitation. As a speech-language pathologist, Kristen completes and provides screenings, evaluations, and treatment. These services can be provided in the classroom, in a pullout setting, or as consultative services. Kristen enjoys working with all students, families, teachers, and staff to promote communication in the educational setting. Over Kristen’s time at the ESU, she has worked in early intervention (birth-3 years) and with school-age students (preK-high school). Kristen is married and has a son, Logan and a daughter expected to arrive in June (2019). When not working, Kristen enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, and cooking.
