Jun 23 2026
Educational Service Unit NO. 5
9:00am — 3:00pm

This session is intended to provide educators with a process and tools to determine individual literacy needs of adolescent learners who lack grade-level reading skills and offer evidence based techniques to to improve their skills.  A one-size-fits-all approach to intervention is ineffective.  It is essential to consider each learner as an individual and utilize appropriate assessments to inform instructional decisions.

I am so grateful that the ESU had so many specialists to work with my son, because now I know what to do to help my child with autism. The speech pathologist and occupational therapist from the ESU have allowed him to gain more than I ever expected him to. I don’t know what I would have done without them.
