MTSS in Action: Implementing What Works and Letting Go of What Doesn’t (Deciding What Stays, What Goes, and Why)

Jun 4 2026
Educational Service Unit NO. 5
9:00am — 2:00pm

This session focuses on strengthening MTSS through intentional implementation and purposeful de-implementation. Participants will examine current practices, systems, and initiatives to determine what is working, what may no longer be serving students, and where thoughtful change is needed. Attendees are encouraged to bring their MTSS guidebooks, building and district systems, and professional knowledge to collaboratively align effective practices, identify areas for refinement, and develop clear messaging for communicating decisions back to building teams, district leadership, and stakeholders.

I am so grateful that the ESU had so many specialists to work with my son, because now I know what to do to help my child with autism. The speech pathologist and occupational therapist from the ESU have allowed him to gain more than I ever expected him to. I don’t know what I would have done without them.
