What is an ESU?

There are 17 Educational Service Units operating within the state of Nebraska who provides core services for school districts in their region. Core services include instructional materials, staff development, and technology. ESU 5 also provides services beyond the core services that are offered based on the needs of our school districts.

Who do you serve?

Educational Service Unit No 5 serves the school districts within Gage, Jefferson and Thayer counties.  Click here for a complete list of our member districts.

How do I register for a workshop?

Workshop registrations are located within the Events section; simply click on the Workshop you are interested in attending to complete the registration form.

How do I get services for my child?

Give our office a call at 402-223-5277 and one of our Special Education Secretaries would gladly lead you in the right direction.

I am so grateful that the ESU had so many specialists to work with my son, because now I know what to do to help my child with autism. The speech pathologist and occupational therapist from the ESU have allowed him to gain more than I ever expected him to. I don’t know what I would have done without them.
