Fall 2019 Edition of ESU 5 Newsletter

In this edition:

ESU 5 is rolling out the EKCO (Exposing Kids to Career Opportunities) project.  We need to create students who are truly “college and career ready” and that includes preparation for two year programs, certifications, apprenticeships, “on the job training” or movement directly into the workplace, in addition to preparing students for four year colleges and universities.

Congratulations to Dr. Regina Oliver for receiving the School Climate Transformation Grant through the Federal Office of Elementary and Secondary Education worth 1.1 million over the next 5 years!!

I am so grateful that the ESU had so many specialists to work with my son, because now I know what to do to help my child with autism. The speech pathologist and occupational therapist from the ESU have allowed him to gain more than I ever expected him to. I don’t know what I would have done without them.
