Freeman Public Schools celebrated World Kindness Day with a "Goosechase"

World Kindness day is recognized on November 13th.  Last year, ESU 5's school psychologist Jamie Mapp and Freeman's counselor Trish Alexander organized three challenges for student to participate in.  This year, they decided to hand it over to the Freeman Wellness Committee, which is made up of 30 students in grades 7-12.

"Throughout the week, the Wellness Crew helped to spread good vibes and tracked activity within the school’s hallways using the “Goosechase” app."

Tyler Dahlgren with Nebraska Public School Advantage highlighted how the students promoted mental health and wellness.

On World Kindness Day, Freeman's Wellness Crew sets students on a weeklong "Goosechase" for good deeds.

I am so grateful that the ESU had so many specialists to work with my son, because now I know what to do to help my child with autism. The speech pathologist and occupational therapist from the ESU have allowed him to gain more than I ever expected him to. I don’t know what I would have done without them.
