Aram Simsar has been a member of the ESU 5 staff since 2022.  Aram is an occupational therapist who works with students in a variety of ways to accomplish their fine motor, visual motor and sensory goals. Whether that be handwriting, general focus or participating in craft activities, occupational therapy can help children more fully participate in school based activities by improving fine motor ability and broadening sensory capacity. 

Aram was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and only moved to Nebraska recently. Although he has spent most of his life in Arizona, he has also lived in Florida, New Mexico and Sydney, Australia. Aram enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, canoeing, kayaking, biking, kayaking and occasionally disc golf. Aram and his wife welcomed their first child, a daughter, into the world October 2021 and thoroughly enjoys spending time with her and is excited to welcome their second child, a son, in November 2023.
