Shannyn Kiehn began her career with ESU 5 in 1998 as a contracted staff member and became a full time staff member in August of 2008.  Shannyn is a Speech/Language Pathologist who works with children aged Birth-21. She helps kids to increase their intelligibility of speech through correct sound production, increase their receptive language skills or understanding of what is said to them, increase expressive language skills or how to express themselves verbally and through written language, increase augmentative communication skills whether using low tech communication pictures or high tech speech generating devices, improve fluency skills, and improve social skills.

When not working, Shannyn enjoys watching most sports especially Husker football.  She is also a big fan of soccer. Shannyn enjoys traveling and experiencing different places and cultures.  She also enjoys gardening.
